Job Description

Bar Parisette is a neighborhood bistro in Logan Square. Our menu takes cues from the neo-bistros of Paris, as well as Midwest seasonality. Our beverage program has a strong focus on small production wines and an emphasis on food-friendly, classic and modern cocktails, with an extensive wine bottle list that offers exceptional value. At this time, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated bartender to join our team.

Candidates with a strong interest in wine will be prioritized, but we are always willing to train the right person.

Candidates must be:

• Flexible and adaptable to the evolving dynamics of the restaurant
• Detail-oriented while remaining efficient
• Able to manage stress and work under pressure 

Job Duties:

• Actively support a cohesive, collaborative relationship between all FOH and BOH team members
• Provide a high-quality, tailored service experience while maintaining a comfortable environment for all guests at the bar
• Communicate ordering needs to management weekly
• Serve as a key-holder and be responsible for cash handling at the end of the shift
• Respond appropriately to guest requests, questions, and concerns 
• Communicate effectively with all team members 
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, including ongoing knowledge of an evolving wine list 
• Complete all side work in an efficient manner
• Comply with all health department requirements

Other: 

• Must hold a current Food Handler Permit and Basset certification from an accredited organization or be able to acquire one within a month 
• Flexible hours are required (nights, weekends, and holidays)
• This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
