Position Overview

This summer intern/laborer position is ideal for high school and college students looking for hands-on work experience during the summer months. Summer laborers will help keep our facilities and grounds clean, safe, and well maintained while learning practical, real-world job skills.

Duties may include:

• Picking up trash and keeping outdoor areas clean
• Mowing, trimming, and general yard work
• Painting and assisting with basic maintenance projects
• Moving furniture or equipment as needed
• Noticing and reporting items that need repair
• Safely using basic tools and groundskeeping equipment

This role involves working as part of a team, helping different departments as needed, and following safety guidelines at all times.

Work Schedule

• Flexible weekday schedule based on student availability
• Designed to work around summer activities, classes, or other commitments

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old before starting employment
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to perform physical job duties such as lifting, working outdoors, using tools, and working in warm weather

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in hands-on or outdoor work
• Willingness to follow safety rules and instructions
• Basic experience with yard work, maintenance, or similar tasks is helpful but not required
• Ability to learn and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
