Club SciKidz RVA offers science and technology summer day camps for children ages 4-15 in the Richmond/Henrico and Midlothian areas. We are hiring Counselors for our Richmond/Henrico location.
Our day camps run Monday-Friday, and staff are scheduled by the week. Staff hours are approximately 8am-4pm. Pay for Counselors is $520 per week.
Who are we looking for:
· Teachers
· College students who have completed at least their first year of college. We love STEM majors and Education majors, but all majors are welcome and encouraged to apply.
· High school Graduating Seniors who have passion for and experience working in basic science and/or technology fields.
We are looking for folks who:
· Enjoy working with children
· Have some experience working with and leading a group of children
· Want to help campers have a great summer as they learn science & technology
· Are reliable & hard working; have reliable transportation
· Having [some] experience with technology is a plus, but NOT a requirement
· Can attend mandatory, paid training in first week of June. Exact date TBA
Daily responsibilities include:
· Supervising campers
· Implementing provided lessons (all lessons, materials & supplies are provided)
· Keeping kids engaged, while maintaining a safe environment
· Have fun with what you are doing
· Being on time every day for your required shifts (you are scheduled by the week, so you work a whole
week (Monday-Friday) for the weeks you are scheduled
· Working with other staff to provide an excellent camp experience
