What To Expect
As a Sr. High-Voltage Electrical Safety Specialist, you'll focus on collaborating closely with business stakeholders to define, develop, and execute Tesla's MV/HV strategy and supporting processes, ensuring EHS process excellence, risk reduction, and world-class safety standards across Commercial, Utility, and Charging Operations and Maintenance in the EMEA region. You'll also play a key part in advancing electrical safety programs, with an emphasis on medium/high voltage systems, while partnering with senior leadership, contracting partners, operational teams, and various Tesla departments.

This position demands a solid practical background in MV/HV environments, making it ideal for hands-on experts. What You'll Do

Act as a key advisor and technical expert on EHS and Medium/High Voltage electrical safety matters, delivering guidance on compliance, and risk management to business leaders, teams, contractors, and cross-functional teams throughout product deployment phasesMaintain an active field presence with learning-focused observations, assurance activities, and audits; document insights, and escalate issues collaboratively with stakeholdersEvolve medium/high voltage safety protocols for global energy storage, balance of plant, and charging networksInvestigate EHS events and MV/HV incidents, conducting root cause analyses, crafting preventive measures, championing Human & Organizational Performance principles, and presenting recommendations to management and teamsSpot operational gaps and pioneer innovative EHS solutions using first-principles thinking, teaming up with engineering, operations, and stakeholders to resolve electrical and wider safety issuesJoin EHS meetings to disseminate improvements, learnings, metrics, and best practices; participate in field initiatives to train and empower teams on risk reduction, in harmony with Tesla's vision and values

What You'll Bring

Several years of practical, hands-on experience in MV/HV electrical safety within energy storage, renewables, or EV charging, a track record supporting engineering in dynamic settingsIn-depth expertise in MV/HV systems like transformers, switchgear, inverters, and grid standards; knowledge of energy storage, and EV infrastructure is a valuable asset, aligning with the practical demands seen in similar EMEA postingsSkill in creating and rolling out safety programs that meet regulatory needs, with strong grasp of Electrical Standards (e.g., EU Directives, NFPA 70-E, IEEE, NEC) and real-world experience handling energized equipment in industrial contexts.
