We invite you to apply to join our leadership team at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago team as Sous Chef! The Sous Chef ­­­­­­­is an essential member of Food & Beverage leadership team which is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests and employees.

We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position.

The Sous Chef is responsible for partnering with the Executive Chef, in creating an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best and advance.

Successful candidates will be a willing team player, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote teamwork. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • ServSafe Certification. 

  • Proficient knife skills. 

  • ServSafe allergen training.

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

  • Second language preferred but not required.

  • Strong leadership, training, motivation, and communication skills.

  • College degree preferably specializing in culinary arts, or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • The ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.

  • The ability to operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools.

  • Ability to collaborate with Hotel Executive Chef and Adorn Executive Chef to align with broader vision of hotel as well as restaurant.

Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.
