Property Management Business Accounting Manager
Coulter & Justus, PC, a Knoxville CPA firm, is assisting a client with its search for a financial accounting manager who is interested in an opportunity for fast growth in responsibility. This client is in West Knoxville, locally owned and a well-established group of businesses operating throughout the Knoxville area. Exceptional office working environment.
Job description:
· Hands on role working in and overseeing the accounting functions and ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting
· Provide financial support for projects, transactions and related business activities
· Develop and maintain internal controls
· Prepare financial budgets/forecasts and provide oversight of revenue measures, expenses and variance analyses
· Coordinate with external CPAs and assist with compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax filings
· Provide accounting expertise and experience to support operational, technology and organization wide improvements
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar financial degree
· Minimum of 6 years of professional accounting experience
· CPA a plus but not required
· Prior experience with complex accounting software, Yardi software experience a plus
· Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
· Strong communication skills and a team player
· Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
· Self-starter, highly motivated and executive presence
