JOB SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Systems Support Specialist Senior helps facilitate and support the design, development, implementation and maintenance of clinical and pharmaceutical terminologies, vocabularies and support infrastructure at an advanced level. This individual will carry-out the duties required to manage and maintain the content and user access, as appropriate, within the applications used to support patient-care delivery.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Post High school courses in computer programming or software applications.
Preferred/Optional: Associate degree in business administration, computer sciences or healthcare related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Seven years’ experience in pharmacy, medical, or managed care related positions. Significant experience with common computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite). Experience in problem solving and customer service. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience is required. Knowledge of Wisconsin pharmacy law and third-party reimbursement rules.
Preferred/Optional: Three years’ experience in pharmacy claims processing. Experience in technical writing and project management.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required:
" Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) awarded by the Pharmacy Technician
Certification Board and active registration of Pharmacy Technician license provided by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS).
Preferred/Optional: Advanced Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT – Adv).
