Compassion Care Senior Services is seeking a compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Wheelchair Driver to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. As a leading provider of senior care services, we are dedicated to providing our clients with the highest quality of care and support. We are looking for a dedicated individual who shares our passion for helping seniors maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, errands, and other destinations in a timely manner
- Assist clients with getting in and out of the vehicle, securing them in the wheelchair, and ensuring their comfort and safety during the ride
- Maintain accurate records of pick-up and drop-off times, mileage, and any other required information
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure their needs are met and any concerns are addressed
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, clients, and others on the road
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Attend regular trainings and meetings to stay up-to-date on company policies, procedures, and best practices
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be physically able to assist clients in and out of the vehicle and with other tasks as needed
