Looking for a rewarding career with a company that values people, growth, sustainability, and teamwork? Join our Grayling team as a Licensed Industrial Electrician! We offer competitive pay of $44.00 per hour for DOL license and $45.00 per hour for state license.

This role will start on a 7am-3:30pm M-F schedule and will transition to a rotating shift after training.

What we are looking for:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the State of Michigan or the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)
• 3+ years of industrial electrician experience
• Process control experience in an industrial setting is a plus
• Minimum three years of AC & DC motor control experience, including drives
• Familiarity with CMMS systems preferred
• Skilled in using electrical troubleshooting tools and techniques (e.g., meg a motor)
• Experience with capital equipment installation and major equipment shutdowns is an asset
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to identify opportunities for efficiency and equipment uptime optimization
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Capable of developing and implementing preventive maintenance work orders
• Willingness to work extended hours and rotating shifts as needed
• Comfortable working at heights in a manufacturing environment

In this role, you would:

• Respond safely and efficiently to maintenance issues, breakdowns, and troubleshooting needs
• Collaborate with operators to resolve maintenance concerns and ensure mill reliability
• Investigate root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions
• Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs
• Document all maintenance activities and lead troubleshooting efforts
• Communicate downtime events and maintenance updates during meetings
• Complete assigned work orders and preventive tasks promptly
• Recommend improvements for troubleshooting resources, tools, and spare parts
• Stay informed about maintenance issues across the mill and work closely with planners 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
• Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
• Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
• Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures.
