Summary The Sandbox is looking for experienced, passionate and a qualified teachers to work with our 1 year olds. We are also looking for a Lead teacher for our 2 year old group too!
The hours we are looking for would be 8:30 to 5:30 with 1 hour lunch, Monday- Friday. Benefits are available for full-time staff including paid early childhood workshops, sick pay, vacation pay, free childcare, health insurance, etc... Duties We help train with all of these Duties. - Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for toddlers.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Conduct individual and group activities to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians using "Teaching Strategies GOLD"
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
Requirements - Must be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card
- Must have your high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 40lbs.
- Must have 6 months Experience in a childcare setting
- Must enjoy working with children
Nice To Haves We would prefer someone with experience but we also will train our new teachers.
- Previous experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development
- Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Understanding of child development stages and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
Skills:
- Literacy education: Promote early literacy skills through storytelling, reading activities, and language development exercises.
- Experience with children: Demonstrate an understanding of child behavior, needs, and appropriate interactions.
- Physical education: Incorporate physical activities into daily routines to promote gross motor skills development.
- Special education: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the individual needs of students with special needs or disabilities.
- Childcare: Ensure the safety, well-being, and proper care of children in the classroom.
- Lesson planning: Create engaging lesson plans that align with educational objectives and meet the needs of diverse learners. Using our Creative Curriculum materials.
- Child welfare: Promote the overall well-being and welfare of children in the classroom.
- Toddler care: Provide age-appropriate care for toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and naptime routines.
Benefits Starting pay is $15.50 per hour without experience
With experience $16.50 and up depending on how much experience and education
