Requirements

Position: IB MYP English Teacher (Expatriate) Location: Pudong, Shanghai; Start Date: August 2026 1. **Teaching**

• Deliver high‑quality MYP English Language Acquisition courses to students in Grades 6–9.
• Design inquiry‑based, concept‑driven units that align with IB philosophy and MYP subject guides.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and promote academic excellence.

2. **Curriculum & Assessment**

• Collaborate with the MYP team to develop and refine the English curriculum.
• Use a range of formative and summative assessment tools, including criterion‑related rubrics.
• Prepare students for internal and external moderation.

3. **Student Support**

• Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and support individual learning goals.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages risk‑taking and critical thinking.

4. **Collaboration & Professional Development**

• Participate actively in weekly collaborative planning meetings.
• Engage in school‑wide professional development, including IB training workshops.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities (e.g., literary clubs, debate).

5. **Parent Communication** - Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and well‑being. Requirements
