We are seeking a Floor Manager who is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, and knows how to lead a team while creating a fun, polished, and memorable guest experience. This is an opportunity to be part of a flagship opening and help establish the culture, service standards, and identity of Bueno from day one.

Position Overview

As the Floor Manager at Bueno, you will oversee daily front-of-house operations and ensure that service is energetic, seamless, polished, and guest-focused. You will work closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, bar team, and service team to deliver a high-quality hospitality experience across the restaurant, bar, lounge, and private event spaces.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is highly visible on the floor, actively engaged with guests, supportive of the team, and confident leading through high-energy service periods. The Floor Manager will play a key role in building Bueno’s opening team culture, training front-of-house staff, driving service execution, and helping create a restaurant experience that feels vibrant, welcoming, trend-forward, and distinctly Latin-inspired.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily front-of-house operations across the restaurant, bar, lounge, and event spaces
  • Maintain an active presence on the floor, supporting staff, engaging with guests, and ensuring smooth service execution
  • Uphold service standards that are polished, warm, energetic, and aligned with Bueno’s fun Latin fusion identity
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of FOH team members
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings that energize, inform, and align the team on service goals, menu updates, beverage features, guest notes, and operational priorities
  • Ensure team members are knowledgeable about Latin fusion menu items, ingredients, flavor profiles, cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverage pairings
  • Manage floor plans, sections, reservations, guest flow, and service pacing to optimize the guest experience
  • Partner with the bar team to support a high-quality cocktail and beverage program
  • Monitor cleanliness, organization, ambiance, music level, lighting, presentation, and overall guest-facing standards
  • Handle guest feedback, service recovery, and special requests with professionalism, confidence, and care
  • Partner closely with BOH and bar leadership to ensure strong communication and seamless execution
  • Support service during regular dining, lounge service, private events, high-volume shifts, and late-night energy periods
  • Assist with POS systems, reservation platforms, reporting, inventory awareness, and daily operational needs
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, company standards, and responsible alcohol service requirements
  • Lead by example, setting the tone for professionalism, teamwork, hospitality, accountability, and positive energy
Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume, upscale-casual, trendy, or nightlife-adjacent restaurant environment required
  • New York City hospitality experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Latin, Latin fusion, Mexican, Caribbean, South American, Spanish, or other culturally inspired restaurant concepts preferred
  • Restaurant opening or new concept experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of elevated yet approachable service standards
  • Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverage service strongly preferred
  • Ability to lead high-energy service while maintaining professionalism, composure, and guest focus
  • Strong floor presence with the ability to read the room, support the team, and anticipate guest needs
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop front-of-house team members
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and social restaurant environment
  • Familiarity with POS and reservation platforms such as Toast, OpenTable, Resy, or similar systems
  • Professional, polished, upbeat, and team-oriented leadership style
Work Environment & Expectations
  • Fast-paced, high-volume Latin fusion restaurant and lounge setting
  • Energetic dining, bar, lounge, and private event environment
  • Evening, weekend, holiday, and late-night availability required
  • Ability to stand, walk, move, and lead on the floor for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs as needed
  • Impeccable grooming and professional appearance required at all times
