Job Summary:
The Teledyne FLIR Billerica site is a leading manufacturer of Surveillance Systems. Our products are vital components in the defense, high end commercial, and commercial industries. We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Senior Buyer/Planner to join the Materials Department. The Buyer/Planner will purchase goods, materials, and components in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets within the cable commodity.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Job Qualifications:
High School Degree/GED required, BA or BS degree preferred
5+ years of relevant experience in either a Buyer/Planner role or a Procurement/Materials Sourcing role
2+ years of experience sourcing cable assemblies and printed circuit board assemblies strongly preferred
Familiarity with custom cable manufacturing strongly preferred
Experience in a high tech manufacturing environment strongly preferred
SAP experience preferred, strong working knowledge of MS Office
Able and willing to travel to suppliers as required, approximately 10% (domestic)
Problem solving skills in relation to sourcing issues in order to support production requirements
Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Professional and team-based approach to problem solving with strong analytical and communication skills
Strong communication, negotiating and organizational skills
Self-motivated, ability to work both independently and within a team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people professionally

Salary Range:
$77,900.00-$103,800.000
