We are hiring for the following roles:

• Front of House:  Barista, Counter Server, Cashier, Busser, Food Runner
• Back of House : Lead Line Cook, Line Cook, Dishwasher

We’re looking for a barista to help bring The Buttery experience to life in our new neighborhood! As a barista, you’re more than just a coffee maker- you’re a key part of what makes our space feel warm, welcoming, and memorable.

You’ll prepare thoughtfully crafted coffee and tea with care and confidence, share your knowledge with guests, and create a hospitality-driven environment rooted in quality and connection. Every drink is an opportunity to make someone’s day a little better.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages according to The Buttery’s standards in a timely manner.
• Foster a culture of respect, support, and teamwork.
• Assist the Lead Barista in enforcing health, food safety, and sanitation standards in the Front of House (FOH).
• Restock shelves and assist with the distribution of weekly deliveries as needed.
• Routinely clean the bar area, customer tables, and coffee equipment.
• Provide efficient and friendly service at all times.
• Accurately ring up sales, handle cash, and give change in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Report customer comments to the managers.
• Maintain neatness and cleanliness in retail displays, storage areas, and the FOH bar area.
• Ensure beverage standards are upheld across the team in coordination with the Lead Barista.
• Continue education on coffee and tea products.
• Collaborate with the managers to train new staff on culture, beverage procedures, and customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in high-volume coffee preferred but willing to train the right candidate
• Previous customer service experience in food and beverage or retail setting preferred.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and listening skills. 
• Strong understanding of coffee drink execution.
• Passion for hospitality and providing excellent customer service.
• Love for all things food and beverage.
• Be caring, self-motivated, and exhibit an aptitude for learning, teaching and promoting teamwork
